Solution Focused Therapy

Individual therapy can be focused on whatever you would like. Some people come to therapy because they need to untangle their thoughts and emotions. Verbalizing what is in their head, sometimes helps them to make sense of things.

Individuals sometimes come with a specific mental health purpose in mind. They focus on decreasing depression or anxiety. They focus on stabilizing their mood.

Some individuals are trying to decide a major life change and like to have a sounding board to bounce ideas off of. Some individuals are trying to weigh the pros and cons of a heavy decision.

Parents or marriage partners often come to discuss their relationship. They want to explore how to change their side of the relationship. They want to be the best version of themselves that they can be.

People also come to individual therapy because they are focused on changes in themselves that have to do with dynamics in the workplace, road rage, or other interactions.

Sometimes a person has an idea of what they want to accomplish. They want to start exercising, eating healthy, and getting adequate sleep, but they just can’t make themselves do it. Therapy is often the accountability a person needs, to push through and accomplish their goals.
